Experience the warmth and nature of teakwood with our Pierre Jeanneret inspired Cross Easy Lounge Chair. Originally designed for the administrative buildings in Chandigarh around 1961, this roomier version of the cross easy chair features braided canework accents on the seat and slanted backrest. Our handmade chair pays homage to the original with solid reclaimed teakwood and long strands of cane that result in fewer knots and greater resilience. The double leg assembly forms an ‘X’ shape that also serves as the armrests, while the backrest is connected to the seat with two supports.

Our local craftsmen in India use the highest respect for the original designs of Pierre Jeanneret. All the timber used is from reclaimed rafters of old demolished buildings, making this chair not only beautifully crafted but also more eco-friendly. Available in various finishes as per client request, our chair is perfect for any modern interior design.
Innovative and visionary, Pierre Jeanneret also collaborated with Charlotte Perriand on experiments in aluminum and wood, and developed prefabricated housing with Jean Prouvé. The signature drafting compass shaped legs on this chair can be seen on a range of Jeanneret’s designs from chairs to benches to tables and desks.
